The first annual FHA Action’s Public Policy Summit is now in the history books. This successful event was held on Saturday, October 29 on the campus of John Witherspoon College, Rapid City. There were over 30 attendees, leaders in public policy, who gathered from across the state to hear from such national speakers as: Matthew Sharp of Alliance Defending Freedom, Clare Lopez, Center for Security Policy, and Harold Cassidy, New Jersey Life Attorney.
A wide range of public policy topics were discussed during this 7-hour session. Some of the topics were: Religious Freedom, Physical Privacy Issues, Human Trafficking, Sanctity of Life, Pornography, Illegal Immigration, and Physician Assisted Suicide. Dr. Richard Wells of John Witherspoon College was a gracious host and opened this gathering of Patriots with a devotional and prayer. Other guest speakers were: FHA Executive Director Dale Bartscher, Representative Scott Craig, Amy Willson of ACT for America and Tess Franzen of Free International.
FHA Action is now looking forward to hosting two ‘Legislative Briefings’ for our Elected Officials:
- East River Legislative Briefing Luncheon, Thursday, December 8 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Central Baptist Church; and our
- West River Legislative Briefing Brunch, Saturday, December 10 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Rapid City Dove Christian Center.
